The Fearless friends tour is without doubt a tour that fans have been waiting for and anticipating. When it finally came through Charlotte, NC it was obvious that people were excited. I drove past the venue on my way to an early dinner at 3 pm, three hours before doors were to open, and there was already a fairly large line.

Once inside the venue and everything got started, Go Radio began their set. The line was so large that not even half the venue had been filled yet and it was 30 minutes after doors, but that didn't seem to make a difference because the people that were already inside were singing along to all the words of Go Radio.

Artist vs. Poet was up next, whose upbeat energy and pop hooks kept the audience interested the whole set. They played songs off of their debut full length 'Favorite Fix' including 'Adorable' (which was recently on the premier of the popular TV show 'Bones'). During one of their songs they had David Schmitt from Breathe Carolina join them on stage, which increased the already enormous yells coming from the audience.

Every Avenue followed and delivered a highly energetic show. Despite what seemed to be a few technical problems with the mics, the crowd didn't seem to even notice as they sang the chorus so loud that lead singer Dave let the crowd take over.

After Every Avenue played, the stage was cleared of their gear and had a lot more room than before for Breathe Carolina's upbeat show, which is somewhat of a necessity. Their use of strobe lights and different lights in the background almost give their show a feeling of a European rave with the kids in the crowd just as pumped. The crowd was so insane that David Schmitt tweeted after the show, "Honestly never been so pumped after a show than I am now. North Carolina you killed it. Seriously wow I'm soaring with NO weed. Thank you."

Last but not least was the headliner of the night, Mayday Parade. The set started in a somewhat different way than their usual opening. The lights went down and a voiceover started playing. The umbrella man from the cover of their first full length, 'A Lesson In Romantics,' came out and did an introduction. He then revealed himself as Derek Sanders, Mayday's enigmatic frontman. After a few songs they slowed it down with 'Miserable at Best' and had Jason Lancaster from Go Radio do guest vocals, which was a treat for the entire building. They ended the set but the crowd hadn't had enough yet. As their fans started cheering for an encore, Mayday came back out and played a song of off 'A Lesson In Romantics' along with two others.

Needless to say, when this tour was announced everybody that followed a fearless band was excited and it in no way let us down. This tour will be one that will be talked about for a long time.
