ATTALOSS TO RELEASE SELF-TITLED ALBUM
ON APRIL 10, 2012

Los Angeles modern rockers Attaloss are releasing their self-titled album on April 10, 2012, via Rock Ridge Music/Warner Music Group/ADA.  Their new record showcases two sides of the band, the high energy blown out rock side and the stripped down acoustic side.  Although the band name is a play on a common phrase many of us hear every day, there is an underlying message of optimism:  “Even in these tough times, we must have hope for a better tomorrow,” states singer Danny Aguiluz.  The band line-up also includes:  Chris Johansen – Guitar, Matt Geronimo – Guitar/Vocals, Lorenzo Perea – Bass, and Dakota Clark – Drums.

Danny, Chris, Lorenzo, and Dakota all left their respective hometowns and moved to Los Angeles to chase their rock and roll dream.  Once they decided to join forces together they began the arduous task of trying to come up with a band name.  After kicking around hundreds of potential names, they got news that their rehearsal studio was broken into and all their music gear was stolen.  “Getting news like that was such a kick in the gut that we literally were at a loss for words.  We realized in that moment that we had our band name,” said guitarist Chris Johansen who immediately began tracking down the thief.  With Chris’ help police apprehended the suspect a few months later and the band’s gear was recovered mostly intact.  Instruments in hand, they recorded the first five songs on the album in early 2011 and set out on tour around the country playing shows with such acts as Neon Trees, Smashing Pumpkins, and Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy. Realizing they weren’t quite capturing their recorded sound live, they added guitarist/vocalist Matt Geronimo and headed back into the studio to record the acoustic half of the record as a five piece.

With a high energy live show the band is excited to get back out on the road and bring their new music to the thousands of fans that have been constantly tweeting for them to play in their city.  The band plans to tour heavily in support of the new album (see tour dates below).  “The fans have been amazingly supportive.  This journey has been a real roller coaster ride but we have come out of it stronger than ever,” continues Danny. “Hopefully that message comes across and inspires people to continue chasing their dreams.  Today is an ‘Open Door.’”

Hollow Earth Signs with Panic Records

We Are Not Humanity to Be Released April 17th

Hollow Earth was a thought between members Mike Moynihan (Guitar) Steve Muczynski (Vocals) and Aaron Goodrich (Drums) during their stint of touring with legendary hardcore band Shai Hulud during November 2010.

One year later, almost to the date, the three friends decided to take that thought more seriously. Rearranging their lives so they would be in the same location in Michigan , the members moved in together and put things in motion to become a real band. Their objective with Hollow Earth was to write sincere music and begin touring as much as possible.

Quickly recruiting Dave Giandiletti (Guitar) and Jake Hicks (Bass) to complete the line up they wrote a six song EP entitled "We Are Not Humanity" within the two and half months of their inception and headed off to record at Getaway Group in Massachusetts with Jay Maas (Defeater, Verse, Shipwreck).

On "We Are Not Humanity", Hollow Earth draws on the influence of legendary bands like Turmoil and Buried Alive, capturing the energy and anger of hardcore that has been lost on so many new bands. Hollow Earth's lyrics are dark with thought provoking premonitions that paint a picture of impending doom that threatens the human existence. Riding into our demise, there's no turning back, the decimation of our world is eminent and Hollow Earth is the perfect soundtrack to play us out. "We Are Not Humanity" will be released on April 17th, 2012 through Panic Records on CD, Vinyl and Digital formats.

Listen to two new songs from "We Are Not Humanity" now on Hollow Earth’s Facebook page.

The UK's GREAT CYNICS will release their latest EP, In the Valley on Kind of Like Records on February 28, 2012. The show is currently streaming online at http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01bl2jz . An unofficial video for the song as well as pre-order information and more on Great Cynics can be seen at http://greatcynics.com/. While the band started with just Giles Bidder (guitar/vocals) playing and touring solo on acoustic guitar, it grew to include Bob Barrett (drums) and Iona Cairns (bass) in order to fully realize the potential of the music Bidder created. "When I was playing solo, there were some songs I recorded in a friend's bedroom at his parents' house a couple of years ago - with one acoustic guitar, no overdubs - that I didn't want to get lost in the years," says Bidder. "So we took them into the studio and hammered them out as a band." All of the songs have been previously released acoustically under the name Cynics, and originally appeared on the Stones I've Thrown EP and a split with the band WeGrowBeards.

Great Cynics burst onto the radar with the June 2011 release of their debut album Don't Need Much on Kind of LIke Records in the US and Household Name Records in the UK. AOL Music heralded the band's "punk and pop teeth on this debut record, full of brash sing-along choruses," while Big Cheese Magazine called the album "a confident and accomplished debut". During the Fall of 2011, Great Cynics travelled to the US to play a much anticipated set at Gainesville's The Fest 10 alongside a handful of East Coast dates. Of late, the band has toured the UK and has scheduled several upcoming UK tour dates with Crazy Arm, Apologies, I Have None, and Los Broncos (tour dates below).

Great Cynics is Giles Bidder (vocals/guitar), Bob Barrett (drums) and Iona Cairns (bass).
