The Sammus Theory Kickstarts Our  Summer With 'Trusting The Liar'

Review by Anthony Avina

In a world where commercialism and popularity rule the music industry more so than actual talent, finding a band who can not only sing/play well, but who can bring quality music and an album that gets the blood pumping AND inspires is a true gem in a field of dull rocks.  So when The Sammus Theory came across our desks with the release of their latest album, 'Trusting the Liar,' we knew that we had finally found that gem.

Made up of Sam Hughes on vocals, Kyle Welnel on rhythm guitar and backup vocals, Jeremy Tabor on lead guitarBill Elliott on bass and Marshall Harrod on drums, The Sammus Theory puts forth a blend of true rock with edgy alternative flavor.  Full of angst, great lyrics and hair-swinging music, this group is poised to be a true force within and outside of its' genre.  With standout songs such as 'Crawl Back Up' and 'Pedestal,' this album features a feel of such bands as Pink FloydDrowning Pool and Tool. The wide mix of melodic vocals to gritty but awesome screaming is a truly nice blend, and shows that this band is not just a bunch of guys screaming, but true artists and musicians.

'Trusting the Liar' is a must have this summer for the rockers out there; an album that fans can group around and rock out on long road trips or while hanging at the beach with your friends.  If you are looking for a departure from the same old "top 40 rock" tunes, pick up a copy of 'Trusting The Liar' today.  See the full tracklisting below.
