If America has a favorite anti-hero, someone they love and love to hate at the same
time, then Californication’s Hank Moody is that man. David Duchovny stars as Hank Moody,
a writer living in California, who struggles to raise his teenage daughter while still carrying the love bug for her mother.
Now on its fourth season, the show looks to place a major emphasis on the music scene and the process
of being in a band by placing Hank’s daughter, Becca, in a band called Queens of Dogtown.
With the strong emphasis on music this season, the soundtrack for the
show truly showcases the trials of the characters, the story, and the music industry. Featuring songs by the
show’s band, Queens of Dogtown, as well as Tommy Lee’s Home Sweet Home and Eagles of Death Metal’s
Stuck in the Metal, the album really delves into the California rock scene and the various highs
and lows of the music industry. With the show continuing to be a strong success, the music has always played a
big role in supporting each and every storyline, and has drawn in many fans in the process. Due out at the beginning
of January 2011, the show and its accompanying album is a must have, and as fans of the show, we look forward to seeing what’s
in store for Hank Moody and the gang. |
